About Lewisham United F.C

This website has been created to introduce our team Lewisham United F.C, which has been found under the impulsion of Peter Anthonipillai, who is a fantastic footballer and a former St. Thomas Mathagal Player. The passion he had for football, wanted him to pass it on to the next generation. From there he picked up youngsters around Lewisham and Catford to build his own team and set up at Mountsfield Park as their training and home ground. The results of all his and the teams hard work started paying off very quickly when the team started wining trophies for the group under 14, 16 and 19. The major twist came when the team won Under 19 TRO Tournament in 2010 with the help of new player from Dartford.

From there Lewisham United F.C entered into BTFL (British Tamil Football League) for the first time, which they won after a great battle for the first place with Valvai Blues.

Since then the team is fighting to finish first place in the Premier Division. They have finished second three years in a row, hoping to finish first in the upcoming season.
